Lust

I am not yours Not yours to touch Not yours to take Indignation floods me As I forcefully remove your hand What part of me have you earned? Nothing of me you deserve You have the need to merge with me But nothing binds your heart to me You do not love me You draw near when the flame of desire Burns high and passion rises Will you but this pleasure pursue My flesh is but ashes The wind will one day shatter My form will crumble like powdered rock to dust That of worth is what dwells within Can you live without it? Are you incomplete without this sin? I am but a flower in its season This is my time When the perishable house I dwell in Like a rose starts to open And sends its fragrance to walk in the morning breeze I will draw many But only one will pick One will own And keep it I am not yours Not yours to touch Not yours to take
